As part of the Keswick Film Festival, Carlisle College ND Media students had the opportunity to film an acting workshop with actor John Hurt (Alien, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and producer/director Don Boyd (Twenty-One, Scum). As part of the workshop John performed a scene from King Lear and a full short film script written by Lyndsey Walker called 'Look Again', dealing with the onset of Alzheimers.
The short SKETCH produced in early 2012, is currently on the short film festival circuit. The film was co-written and co-directed by Lyndsey and Tracey Walker and produced by Wright Walker Productions and Freed Spirit Productions.
Lyndsey Walker and Jonathan Wright were involved in the production of CHAIR!, a short horror film about one of the characters in THE MANIAC PROJECT feature film, written and directed by N. Andrew Elliot and the feature is now available to buy on various platforms including itunes and netflicks.
The 10 minute version of the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Documentary by Tracey Walker, FROM LAKESIDE TO MOUNTAINTOP, won the Silver Osprey Award in the Open category of the Osprey Short Film Awards at the Keswick Film Festival.
Lyndsey is currently working on the STILWELL film series as series director. This latest series tackled hate crime towards people with learning difficulties and a health visitor who becomes involved in a young mum to be suffering from drug addiction and domestic abuse. Currently a feature version of the series is in the final editing stage for release in 2013.
Our first feature film in collaboration with Freed Spirit Productions, STORIES is now finished and is scheduled to be submitted to various feature festivals in 2013. Lyndsey co-wrote and co-directed the film along with N. Andrew Elliot. The film follows several character led stories through one day in a busy city.
